Let's talk about it

Unconventional origins

Our story

Crafted with magic & intention

Cimcie Nichols is the daughter of Roger Nichols, the eight time Grammy winning engineer behind Steely Dan. She grew up inside the music industry, then inside LA clubs, two decades deep in the goth, industrial and electroclash scene. She worked in horror and immersive theater, hosted haunts, and produced the first sound bath at Midsummer Scream, the largest horror and Halloween convention in the world. Twenty years selling natural products put her in the aisles. Herbalism put her in the kitchen. She calls herself a beverage goblin. She is not wrong.

Hatchet Granny came out of the stretch that almost took her out. The pandemic. A long run of hard years stacking up. Then a divorce on top of all of it. She surrounded herself with plants, sound and community, and spent months on a formula that felt like a hug from flowers. That is where it started. Where it goes is the fun part.

"What is Hatchet Granny?" Yes, it's the nickname of Carrie A. Nation. But what possessed her to go into bars and destroy them with a hatchet? The relentless force that drives John Wick. The divine rage that fuels Kill Bill. THAT IS HATCHET GRANNY.

We're here to smash outdated notions of what it takes to feel good and have a damn good time. We believe pleasure and purpose can coexist, crafting elevated herbal elixirs that nourish both body and soul, a delicious, vibrant alternative for those seeking a different kind of buzz.

One of us

More human than human

Hatchet Granny is now more than a name. She's a living, breathing force of nature, more human than human.

Everything pulses with magic, mystery, and contrast: urban yet primal, grotesque yet beautiful, teetering on the edge of chaos and rebirth.

We're building a community that celebrates the macabre, dances in the moonlight, and finds solace in shared experiences. Embrace the unhinged. Raise a glass (or a hatchet). And celebrate the beautiful messiness of life with us.

Everything changes. Let's have some fun.

Our mission

Elixirs for empowerment

Hatchet Granny creates elevated herbal elixirs that nourish, energize, and offer a fun alternative to traditional nightlife. More than just drinks, we're building a vibrant community that celebrates the macabre and shared experiences to thrive. We embrace alchemy, herbalism, and a touch of magic to craft beautiful booze-free drinks and cathartic events, supporting those who want to drink mindfully without losing the fun. We love to dance and are here to put the fun in functional. A percentage of proceeds goes directly to MusiCares, an organization that supports the humans behind the music.

Our vision

The ultimate elixir bar

Hatchet Granny aspires to be the ultimate elixir bar for gothic and rock 'n' roll events, hosting immersive dance nights, movie nights, and pop-ups that redefine nightlife. With our branded drink line we aim to create a movement that proves fun and mindful drinking go hand in hand. Through plants and events, we help people navigate life's stressors to thrive, not just survive. Let's have some fun!
